Pasture Raised Whey Protein.
What Sets Warrior Whey® Apart From Other Whey Protein Products?
Defense Nutrition's Warrior Whey® is a remarkably delicious non-denatured pasture raised whey protein with all immune supportive nutrients intact and the highest biological value. Made with NO sugar added, NO sugar alcohols, NO fructose, and NO artificial additives, it accommodates the muscle metabolic needs for quality protein after exercise.
The protein profile in Warrior Whey® is pound-for-pound more impressive than any other single protein food. It provides all key essential amino acids including the muscle building glutamic acid, branch-chain amino acids, leucine, and cysteine - which play key roles in energy production, immune support and muscular development. Warrior Whey® is an exclusive source of cysteine (glutamylcysteine), which is missing in the typical diet and yet required by the body for vital metabolic and immune functions.
Warrior Whey® is made with ImmunoWhey®. It has been tested to contain all naturally occurring immune factors intact, including serum albumin, immunoglobulins, alpha lactoglobulins, beta lactoglobulins, glucomacropeptides and lactoferrin - virtually the same immune compounds that are found in human breast milk, responsible for providing the newborn with immune defenses against infections and disease. The immunological properties of pasture raised cows' whey protein such as in ImmunoWhey® have been widely documented to benefit humans of all ages.
Defense Nutrition’s Warrior Whey® is fast assimilating. For the purpose of muscle nourishment, the capacity to digest and assimilate nutrients is of utmost importance. The more digestible and fast assimilating the protein food is, the fastest it will nourish the muscle and shift it from a catabolic to an anabolic mode during the window of opportunity right after exercise.
Defense Nutrition's Warrior Whey® is a unique wholesome protein with a remarkable delicious creamy taste and unmatched nutritional value. It is inherently designed to promote satiety peptides such as CCK and GLP-1, which are known to enhance satiety, promote insulin sensitivity and support weight loss. This nourishing effect yields a great sense of pleasure, curb cravings for sweets, and help manage weight.
Warrior Whey® is naturally sweetened with no sugar added, no sugar alcohol, no fructose, no artificial sweeteners and made with a specially modified water soluble fiber that has a glycemic balancing effect and pre-biotic properties. Being low glycemic, it is the best tasting all natural protein available for carb sensitive individuals.
Defense Nutrition's Warrior Whey® is available in delicious plain, vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter, STrawberry, blueberry, banana AND green tea ice cream flavors. It can be served as a shake, a pudding or even chewed as a powder, flavors from the canister.
Start with two scoops (40g) of Warrior Whey powder, add water or milk and mix until desired consistency (shake or pudding). May be taken two to three times daily.
Quality whey protein contains immunefactors, some of which are known for their immune modulating anti-inflammatory* properties. Virtually all these whey fructions exist in human's breast milk, playing important roles in protecting the newborn from microbial infections and promoting a healthy growth and development. Following are the most notable whey's immune factors.
Lactoferrin: a multi-functional peptide to which several physiological roles have been attributed. These include:
- Defense against microbial infections
- Regulation of iron transfer and metabolism
- Anti-inflammatory activity
- Regulation of cellular growth
- Protection against disease development
Glycomacropeptides (GMP) - a casein derived peptide found in whey protein. GMP is a by-product of cheese manufacturing. Its beneficial biological roles include:
- Stimulation of cholecystokin (CKK) and Glucagon Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1)- peptide hormones that regulate satiety, food intake, and energy. The stimulation of CKK and GLP-1 has been linked to early satiety from meals, reduced food intake, increased insulin sensitivity, and weight loss.
- Inhibition of platelet aggregation, a cardiovascular protective property
- Support of beneficial gut bacteria (bifido bacterium)
- A good source of branch chain amino acids (BCAA), which increases muscle energy, promote muscle buildup and prevent muscle wasting.
Alpha Lactalbumin - most abundant fruction in human breast milk, alpha lactalbumin plays a key biological role in the production of the sugar lactose, essential for growth and brain development of the newborn. Alpha lactalbumin is believed to possess antibacterial activities.
Beta Lactalbumin - most abundant protein in bovine Whey, it is not an inherent part of human breast milk. Beta lactalbumin's main biological function is being a carrier of retinol (a pro-vitamin A) and a nutrient source for the amino acid cysteine.
Lacto Peroxidase - a peroxidase enzyme found in raw milk, known for its antioxidant anti-microbial properties. Lacto peroxidase is fairly heat resistant and can survive low heat whey processing but is generally destroyed due to ultra-pasteurization or acid processing.
Immunoglobulins G (IgGs) - the most abundant immunoglobulins in the body, with a distinct biological role of providing protection against pathogens. IgGs can bind to bacteria, viruses and fungi and protect the body (fetus and adult) by agglutination, immobilization and neutralization of their toxins. IgGs play an important role in the antibody response system.
Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) - an important source of glutamylcysteine – the most bio-active precursor for the body's master antioxidant glutathione. Glutathione plays essential roles in virtually every immuno-enhancing, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging activity in the body.

Decided to do a little cleanse and I wanted to get a good whey protein to supplement all the raw organic veggies I'm eating so I can keep lifting. This is the first unflavored whey I've ever had that didn't make me gag. Creamy, smooth and a nice milky flavor. Expensive, but definitely worth the money.

I find the Warrior Whey doesn't give me any stomach issues like other whey protein, especially isolate, does. The taste of the plain is just ok but I prefer not having any extraneous flavors or chemicals so I don't buy the flavored whey. The fact that the whey comes from pasture-raised cows and not GMO corn-fed makes me feel a little more comfortable with the health benefits. The Warrior Whey is a little pricy but I think it's a very good quality product.

This is simply the best! It tastes great and has all the things I'm looking for, especially pasture fed and minimal processing. I like the plain because I make my own concoctions with raw cacao, frozen berries, stevia, coconut milk. I have a shake right after my workouts; they're delicious and satisfying. Research indicates this is the most critical time to ingest high quality protein.

I have used this whey since it has been available. It has a fresh clean flavor. I love the plain because I can add flavor without extra sugars.
I am down 55 pounds and still losing. I gained weight during a period of time when I was unable to exercise, because of auto accidents and extreme family stress. I feel certain the use of the whey assisted in my weight loss and has strengthened my immune system. I am 64 and gratefully not on any medication.
I have also enjoyed all the info and books from Ori. I have lost very slowly, which is sometimes frustrating, but I know this will continue to work.

You may have to come up with your own flavoring, but if you look at the directions, you get the same benefit from one scoop of the plain Warrior as you get with two scoops of the flavored. If you are on a tight budget, it can make a pretty big difference. Our trainer recommends Warrior Whey as the top brand out there.

Plain Warrior Whey mixes so great into greek or natural yoghurt too but we find it "settles in" best if its mixed in (along with oatbran or rolled oats and some water to moisten) overnight.....then the next morning just add cranberries and some diced walnuts or grated apple just before you eat :)

I love the clean taste of the plain Warrior Whey. I have used the chocolate in the past, and loved it as well. I use this for one or two recovery shakes after training. I shared one canister of the Warrior Whey with my dad, and I think after using it, he will be visiting the site to buy some of his own. Great website. Great products. Great information. Thanks Ori. Thanks Defense Nutrition. I will shop with you again!
